Oakdene Vineyards Restaurant
Have I fallen down a rabbit hole like Alice in Wonderland and not realised? Whoever the Mad hatter of the Oakdene world is, they have created a fun and imaginative place that is great for kids or anyone young at heart to discover and explore. The cellar door is a house flipped on its side and outside a tower of wheelbarrows and a dog riding a chopper are amongst the many unusual things that you will find around the grounds of Oakdene. A separate building houses the restaurant with a fantastic outdoor area for eating and drinking in the warmer months.
Having gone for a wander and discovered the sense of fun and imagination of Oakdene we finally head to the cellar door to sample some wines. There are about a dozen wines to try and our host was warm, cheery and professional.
A perfect winery for a lazy warm afternoon in the shaded al fresco area or to give something back to the kids, where they can have fun exploring the grounds.

We popped into this winery for coffee & cake. The kids loved it & it was somewhere different to go.
